The Man Cub

It is no longer safe for Mowgli, the Man-Cub to  stay in the jungle. Bagheera, the panther has to take him back to the man-village. . .

To Ben (my grand-nephew- almost 2), this scene from the movie, The Jungle Book is completely riveting.

Every time.
Every day. At least 6 times a day.
How does this not get old??

We have a routine, actually.
He runs around on the trampoline until he gets worn out.
He finds the M&M jar and begs.
He asks for The Jungle Book, grabs his sippy cup and takes a seat.

I remember seeing this movie for the first time when his mom (my niece) was about this age (she and I are 10 years apart). But somehow, watching it with him now, seeing it through his two year old eyes, it seems fresh once again.

Mowgli is kidnapped by monkeys and is taken to see crazy King Louie who hopes to obtain from him the secret for making fire. . .

Hmm. . .  it is riveting.
Every time. =D
