Sixteen years ago today, I said that I would....

take him to be my lawfully wedded husband,
tohave and to hold,
for better or for worse,
for richer, for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love and to cherish;
from that day forward
until death did us part.

Of course, those vows were easy to say, not knowing what was life had in store for us...

But now that I can look back and see what it takes to keep a commitment like that...

I would gladly do it all over again,
in a heartbeat.
