Lucy. Version 1.4

Today is Lucy's 14th birthday.
Today my hard drive crashed.
A fitting metaphor.
Because as I'm looking at this amazing person with all her potential, my memory seems to have completely failed me.
The original version was quiet and maybe a little shy.
The upgrade is FEARLESS and seems capable of handling any task thrown her way.
I'm a little bit mad even as I'm trying to write this on a foreign computer.
I'm stuck in the old groove. I'm comfortable with the way things have always been.
Well, it looks like it's time for a total system upgrade, whether I'm ready for it or not.
