A Sasquatch by any other name would smell as sweet
/I have 2 sons. Having sons gives me a glimpse into another world that would probably not even show up as a blip on my radar if it weren't for them.
Take the following example:
There are dozens of names for the quasi-mythical ape-like creature with the massive feet who purportedly roams the great northwest. He is known most commonly as "Bigfoot."
But here are some more names for the elusive beast ....
- The Wood Man
- Bushmen
- Timber Giants
- Big Figure
- Bukwus
- Wild Man of the Woods
- Tsadjatko, or giants
- Devil of the Forest
- Sasquatch
- Windigo
- The Hairy Man
- Yahyahaas
- Yeti
- Nun Yunu Wi
- The Stone Man
- The Stone Coats
- Rugaru
- The Big Man
- Woods Devils
- Skunk ape
- Zoobie
- Momo
- Nuk-Luk
- Devil Monkey
- Mount St. Helens Gorillas
But at our house, we just like to call him, "Jonfoot." ;-)
(I confess I'm a little partial to "Zoobie," but that's not important right now. =D)
