Miss Scarlet in the Conservatory with the Lead Pipe

I remember one of the most fun things about summer in Varadero was playing Clue late into the night (Yes, the very same Parker Brothers game played here in the U.S.) and we LOVED it. Adults as well as children got to play. Our family is full of SERIOUS game players.  (Is that a Cuban thing?)  Card games, dominoes, board games, trivia games - bring 'em on!

Our friends, George and Alysa host a murder every New Year's Eve and it's a wonderfully fun way to spend an evening.  I have been, on different occasions, an ex-cheerleader (coincidentally, this just happens to be true of my real life, but that's not important right now), a Spanish widow, and a trailer park tramp (don't even go there). We get to spend an evening with friends,  also in costume.  We hide and reveal pertinent information to help find the murderer while enjoying a fabulous meal (George is a gourmet cook).

So, inspired by George, I'm planning a murder.
(I guess this is not a good way to start a post the day before my wedding anniversary... =D)
Let me explain.

It's Lucy's birthday this weekend and we're hosting a murder mystery. It is set at the Miss Teen USA Beauty Pageant which means I will have a dozen aspiring beauty contestants here, all with a motive for murder. 

Someone will be killed and there will be a murderer among us.  It is up to the rest of us to find out who did it and why.  I'll tell you all about it next week (with pictures, of course).

Right now, I'm working on my costume . . . and my alibi. ;-)
